Bright Carbon Steel Traction Rope
The elevator wire rope is the core component in the elevator system that bears the functions of suspension and traction. It is mainly used to connect the car and the counterweight, and relies on the frictional force of the traction machine to achieve the lifting and operation of the car. It is a key load-bearing component to ensure the safe operation of the elevator.

- Multi-layer structure: Common structures include 8×19S+FC, 8×19W+FC, etc., which are twisted from multiple strands of steel wire. The outer layer of steel wire is thicker and wear-resistant, while the inner layer is soft and fatigue resistant, balancing wear resistance and flexibility.
- Rope core type: Fiber core (FC) is commonly used, which has good elasticity and lubricity, can buffer the impact force of steel wire rope during operation, and store lubricating oil to extend the service life of steel wire.
- Diameter range: Depending on the elevator load, the diameter is usually between 8mm-16mm. The larger the load, the thicker the diameter of the steel wire rope.
Common uses of 8x19S+FC structure, 6.0-22mm diameter steel wire rope:
- High strength: It needs to withstand the entire weight of the car, counterweight, and passengers, with a tensile strength generally ranging from 1570MPa to 1770MPa.
- Fatigue resistance: The elevator frequently starts, stops, and lifts, and the steel wire rope repeatedly bends, requiring strong resistance to fatigue fracture.
- Wear resistance: Long term friction with the traction wheel and guide wheel requires the outer steel wire to have high hardness and wear resistance.
- Corrosion resistance: Some elevators are installed in humid environments, and the steel wire rope needs to have a certain degree of corrosion resistance, usually treated with galvanizing or coated with special anti-corrosion coatings.
Our steel wire rope meets international production standards and has obtained multiple certifications such as SGS, CE, ISO, etc.
