This configuration features 8 outer strands, each containing 19 steel wires, with a fiber rope core at the center. It is the most widely used model in the elevator field, balancing strength and flexibility.

- High strength load-bearing: Made of high carbon steel wire, the tensile strength can reach 1570MPa-1960MPa. A single steel wire rope can carry several tons of weight, ensuring the safety and stability of the elevator when fully loaded.
- Excellent wear resistance: The surface of the steel wire rope is galvanized or aluminum plated, and there is special lubricating grease between the internal steel wires, which can reduce the wear between the traction wheel and the steel wire rope, and extend the service life.
- Flexibility adaptation: Through a reasonable twisting structure design, the steel wire rope can flexibly fit the arc-shaped groove of the traction wheel, and is not easily broken in frequent bending and stretching cycles.
- Safety redundancy design: Elevators are usually equipped with 3-8 steel wire ropes, and the breaking force of a single steel wire rope far exceeds the actual load-bearing requirements. Even if a few wires are damaged, the remaining steel wire ropes can still ensure that the car does not fall.
Common uses of 8x19S+FC structure, 6.0-22mm diameter steel wire rope:
- Passenger elevators: Passenger elevators in shopping malls, office buildings, residential buildings, and other places, with steel wire ropes bearing the weight of the car, passengers, and equipment to ensure smooth and safe operation.
- Freight elevators: Freight elevators in factories, warehouses, and logistics centers need to withstand repeated stretching of heavy goods, with extremely high requirements for the strength and wear resistance of steel wire ropes.
- Medical elevators: Hospital specific elevators not only carry personnel, but also transport hospital beds and medical equipment, with special requirements for the stability and low noise characteristics of steel wire ropes.
