PLC Control Hollow Paddle Dryer SUS304 Sludge Paddle Dryer System
PLC Control Hollow Paddle Dryer For Environmental Protection
I. Basic Structure
The paddle dryer, also known as the hollow paddle dryer, is a horizontal, indirect heat-conduction type low-speed mixing drying equipment. Its main body consists of a W-shaped jacketed shell with one or two hollow shafts equipped with wedge-shaped hollow paddles.
Steam, thermal oil, or other heating media are circulated through the paddles and jacket, indirectly heating the material via the metal wall surface. The paddles rotate slowly in an interlocking motion, continuously conveying and turning the material to ensure constant renewal of the heated surface. The wedge-shaped design provides self-cleaning properties, minimizing material adhesion and caking.
The equipment achieves a thermal efficiency of 80%–90%, offering significant energy savings. With its compact structure and small footprint, it operates fully enclosed, generating minimal dust. It is suitable for vacuum and low-temperature processing of heat-sensitive materials.
II. Working Principle
The material to be dried is fed continuously and in measured amounts into the dryer through a screw feeder. Once inside the chamber, the material's surface moisture evaporates due to the rotation of the paddles. Simultaneously, the material moves along a spiral path toward the discharge outlet as the paddle shaft rotates, continuing to be mixed during transport so that any residual moisture within the material further evaporates. Finally, uniformly dried, qualified product is discharged from the outlet.
III. Features
1. The paddle dryer has low energy consumption, low system cost, and low operating expenses.
2. It can handle a wide range of materials, causes minimal environmental pollution, and operates stably.
