Construction Introduction

Substrate Requirements

The substrate shall be flat, solid and dry, free of sanding, hollowing and sharp protrusions. Internal and external corners shall be made into circular arcs. The moisture content of the substrate shall meet construction requirements. Moist substrates shall be treated for moisture resistance.

Construction Method (Mainstream Hot‑melt Method)

Apply primer uniformly and lay the membrane only after it is fully dried.

Mark positioning lines, place the membrane in position and adjust overlap width: long‑side overlap ≥80 mm, short‑side overlap ≥100 mm.

Heat the membrane bottom and substrate with a spray gun. Roll out the membrane forward while heating to melt the asphalt on membrane bottom. Compact and vent to eliminate air under the membrane and avoid hollowing.

Fully heat overlapping joints until asphalt overflows to form uniform sealing beads for reliable joint sealing.

Reinforce details such as internal/external corners, pipe roots and drain outlets with additional layers before laying main‑field membranes.

Upon completion of membrane installation, inspect for hollowing, edge lifting and cracking and repair defects in time. Apply protective layers promptly for non‑exposed roofs.
