Product Description
SBS modified bitumen waterproofing membrane is a medium-to-high grade waterproofing membrane produced by using styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) thermoplastic elastomer modified bitumen as the coating base material, polyester felt or glass fiber felt as the reinforcement carrier, with polyethylene film, mineral granules and other protective release layers on both sides. Combining the elasticity of rubber and the water resistance of bitumen, it features excellent low-temperature flexibility, good high-temperature flow resistance, high tensile strength, outstanding crack resistance, ageing resistance and puncture resistance. It can be applied by torch-on method and is a mainstream material in the building waterproofing industry. According to reinforcement carrier, it is divided into polyester carrier (PY) and glass fiber carrier (G). According to top-surface release material, it includes polyethylene film (PE), fine sand (S) and mineral granules (M). Common thicknesses are 3mm and 4mm.

· Excellent high-low temperature performance: no cracking under bending at -20℃~-25℃, no flowing or deformation under high-temperature conditions.
· Polyester-carrier type delivers high tensile strength and large elongation, accommodating minor substrate cracks; glass-fiber-carrier type offers good dimensional stability.
· Torch-welded overlapping joints ensure reliable sealing and integral waterproof performance.
· Resistant to rainwater and groundwater corrosion, UV-resistant (mineral-granule surface for exposed application), long service life.
· Mature construction technology, applicable to damp substrates via torch-on installation; easy maintenance and repair.
Application Scope
· Roofing works: roofs and sloped roofs of various industrial and civil buildings; mineral-granule surface for exposed roof waterproofing.
· Underground works: basement slabs, side walls, top slabs, underground garages and civil air-defense projects.
· Municipal infrastructure: waterproofing and anti-seepage for subways, tunnels, culverts, reservoirs and sewage treatment tanks.
· Building renovation: old roof refurbishment and waterproofing retrofitting of existing buildings.
· Special areas: waterproofing for bridges, parking lots and green roofs (root-resistant layer is required as auxiliary).
