Construction Steps
1. Prepare cement bonding mortar
Mix the cement bonding mortar evenly and adjust to a proper consistency for construction.
2. Apply mortar on base and membrane
Coat a layer of cement mortar evenly on the base surface, and simultaneously apply a thin layer of mortar on the non-woven fabric side of the waterproof membrane.
3. Lay and compact the membrane
Place the membrane on the treated base surface, roll and exhaust air completely to ensure full fitting between the membrane and mortar. Remove all air bubbles to prevent hollowing.
4. Membrane lap joint treatment
The lap width of both longitudinal and transverse edges shall be no less than 100 mm. Apply cement mortar evenly on all overlapping positions and compact tightly to eliminate gaps at the joints.
5. Reinforce detailed nodes
Apply additional reinforcing layers in advance at key nodes including internal and external corners, pipe roots, construction joints and deformation joints, then lay the full-area waterproof membrane.
6. Curing and finished product protection
Protect the finished waterproof layer after laying. Subsequent procedures such as protective layer construction, backfilling and plastering can only be carried out after the cement bonding layer is fully cured. Avoid treading and disturbing the waterproof layer before complete curing.
