The PE Jaw Crusher works on the classic squeezing-and-bending crushing principle:

3. As the movable jaw approaches the fixed jaw, the material between the two plates is compressed and crushed.
4. When the movable jaw retreats, the crushed material falls down by gravity to the discharge opening.
