TRF-45 High Frequency PCB

Introduction

TRF-45 high-frequency materials represent a breakthrough in low-loss and thermally stable PCB substrates. Featuring woven-glass reinforcement, TRF-45 provides superior dimensional stability. By utilizing Taconic's expertise in ceramic technology, TRF-45 maintains a reliably low Z-axis expansion across a wide temperature spectrum, even under soldering conditions.

It is compatible with standard fabrication processes such as shearing, drilling, milling, and plating, using the same conventional techniques applied to PTFE woven fiber-glass materials.

Features

TRF-45 boasts a dielectric constant of 4.5 at 10GHz and a low dissipation factor of 0.0035 at the same frequency.

Its moisture absorption rate is ≤0.06%, demonstrating exceptional resistance to moisture.

The material achieves a flexural strength of 17,000 lbs/in in the lengthwise direction and 15,000 lbs/in in the transverse direction.

Under thermal stress conditions, TRF-45 delivers outstanding peel strength, exceeding 8 lbs/in.

Additionally, TRF-45 exhibits a CTE of 9 ppm/°C along both the x-axis and y-axis, while the z-axis shows a CTE of 40 ppm/°C.

Finally, TRF-45 is UL-94 V0 certified.
