1. Applications:

Open Width Compactor is suitable for open width knit fabrics to achieve exact dimensional stability and a soft feel. The Open Width Compactor provides the mechanical basis for highest quality requirements on open-width knitted fabrics, by securing the results of preceding shrinking and relaxing drying and also adjusting the fabric to the minimum possible residual shrinkage values through sensitive additional compressive shrinking in the compacting calander, while treating it extremely gently and preserving maximum volume.

2.  Process:

Open-width fabric entry → fabric tighten frame → disc screw thread spreading → initiative fabric feeding, crentring → down overfeed → spreading and weft correcting → upper overfeed → pinning → tentering (dewing, taping, drying ) → pin falling off → double felt compacting → belt conveying → open-width plaiting
