42Ni-6Cr Expansion Alloy 4J6 Stip Rod Pipe
4J6 is a typical glass sealing alloy, the coefficient of expansion is similar to the soft glass in the temperature range of 20~400℃. The alloy contains 6% chromium, and after oxidation treatment the alloy surface produces a very dense oxide membrane that is strongly bound to the substrate and well infiltrated with the soft glass, so that can get high strength sealing surface.
The alloy 4j6 contains 42% nickel, that is why the US label is called the 42Ni-6Cr (Glass sealing 42-6, UNSK94760). US Carpenter also produced the alloy called Carpenter 42-6 .
