Introduction of Wodon Wear Plate

 

 

 

Supported by patent technique, Wodon brand submerge arc welding chromium carbide overlay wear plate has become the representitive of high quality wear plates, well known for its superior abrasion and impact resistance. It is manufactuered under tightly controlled parameters within a quality management system.

 



 

Characteristics:

 

  • Flat and smooth surface;  
  • Uniform overlay thickness;
  • Larger sheet size;
  • Stable hardness:   HRC 58-65;
  • Outstanding wear resistant performance & can withstand continuous moderate impact;
  • Carbide volume fraction up to 50%.
  • Even distributed and fnd chromium carbide precipitate

 

 

 


Base metal:

 

 

The standard steel substrate is compliant with Grade Q235 steel or an equivalent in thickness ranges from 6-25mm. Other grades can be supplied upon request.

Working with Wodon Plate:

 

The backing mild steel plate provides Wodon brand overlay plates with structural integrity, which makes our overlay plates fabricated with zero damage to welding overlay, regardless of the shape and complexity of the structure. Wodon has the capabilities to manufacture and futher process such fabrications or to supply formed, read-to-go wear liners.

 
 
 
Welding:
 

The base material can be welded with standard mild steel or low hydrogen welding

consumables with no pre-heating required. However, care should be taken to avoid

contacting the overlay material.

 

 

 
 
 
 
 
Cutting:
 

Wodon overlay plates could be cut by plasma, waterjet, laser. Plasma cutting is the recommended method for cutting our plate. It is preferable to cut our plate from the backing plate side to ensure a clean edge and to prevent carbide contamination.

 

 

 

 

Attachments to Wodon Plate:

  • Wodon plate can be fabricated with studs welded to backing of wear plate (M12, M16, M20 and M24)
    
  • Wodon plate can be fabricated with countersunk holes to suit bolts (M12, M16, M20 and M24)
  • Wodon plate can be supplied with holes ready cut for plug welding
