IEC60695-10-2 Ball Pressure Test Apparatus Made by Stainless Steel
1. Introduction
The ball pressure tester is an instrument designed to test the heat resistance of household plugs and sockets. It is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of IEC60695-10-2, and it's required by the many standard requirements such as IEC 62196-1 clause 29.3, IEC60335, IEC60601, GB4706.1 and etc. It can simulate pulling out the plug and plugging it back in, applying pressure, and detecting the characteristics of the product's temperature resistance.The ball pressure tester is equipped with a 5mm stainless steel ball, with a maximum applied pressure of 20N±0.2N; the sample supportor is 50mm in diameter and 100mm long, with a temperature measurement hole inside for analysis of heat resistance.
2. Test principle:
The surface of the part to be tested is placed in the horizontal position and a steel ball of 5 mm diameter is pressed against the surface with a force of 20 N. The test is performed in a heating cabinet at a temperature of 75°C ± 2°C. The ball is withdrawn after 1 h and the diameter of the impression made by the ball is measured. An impression greater than 2 mm in diameter constitutes a failure.
