1. Introduction

Apparatus for abrasion test on insulating sleeve of plug pin is designed according to IEC60884-1 figure 28 and BS1363 figure 9, it is applied to test abrasion resistance performance of insulating sleeves of plug pin. The test apparatus is consisted by horizontally placed beam and a linear motion clamp, the U sharp steel wire with diameter of 1mm is vertically fixed at the end of the horizontal beam, the U-shaped bottom edge of the wire is 6mm linear working part, press the U-shaped wire 6mm straight bottom edge on the bolt insulation sleeve, the motor drives the clamp with the pin to back and forth, so that the wire and the insulating sleeves of plug pin to do the abrasion test. After the test,the plug pin shall be free from damage that may affect safety or affect future use, especially the insulating sleeves can not worn or wrinkled.
