Go Gauge for screw threads of lampholder (7006-25-7)
Purpose: To check the minimum dimensions of the lampholder screw thread and dimension X shown on sheet 7005-20.
Testing: It shall be possible to screw the gauge into the lampholder without using undue force. (For the torque to be applied in case of doubt, see IEC238, subclause 4.4). When the gauge has been screwed in as far as it will go, the rim of the screw shall of the lampholder shall be co-planar with or project beyond, surface Y1 but it shall not project beyond surface Y2.
Not Go Gauge for screw threads of lamphoder (7006-26-4)
Purpose: To check the maximum minor diameter of the screw thread, dimension D1, of lampholders E10, EP10, EY10, E14, E27, E39, and E40.
Testing: The screw thread of the lampholder shall be assumed to be correct if the gauge does not enter by its own weight so far that the thread protrudes beyond surface T.
