IEC60529 Strong Jet Water Simplified Test Device for IPX5 and IPX6 Testing
1. Introduction:
IPX5/6 strong jet water simplified test device is designed according to IEC60529 clause 14.2.5 and 14.2.6. Waterproof test simulates the condition of water jets and powerful water jets, which is mainly applied to electronic products, luminaire, electric components, motor and house-holding appliance. The waterproof test can help to judge the products’ performance, and provide the basis for design, improve and inspect.
The simplified test device is consisted by control units, Φ6.3mm and Φ12.5mm jet hose nozzles, the equipment is equipped with 4 casters so that it can be moved at will.
IPX5 Water jets
Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects. Test duration: at least 15 minutes, volume: 12.5 litres per minute, pressure 30 kPa at distance of 3 m.
IPX6 Powerful water jets
Water projected in powerful jets (12.5 mm nozzle) against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects. Test duration: at least 3 minutes, volume: 100 litres per minute, pressure 100 kPa at distance of 3 m.
2. Features:
● For IPX5 and IPX6 waterproof testing.
● Mainframe is made by SUS304# stainless steel to ensure rustless for long time.
● Jet nozzles: strictly designed according to IEC60529.
● The water flow is adjusted by the flow meter and manually adjusted.
● The test time is controlled by a time relay.Time setting range: 0~999min (adjustable), after the test is completed, it will automatically stop.
● Control system: time relay + change-over switch, all electrical components adopt world-famous brands such as LS, Omron and etc..The electrical board layout is reasonable, the wiring is firm, and the marking is clear.
● Easy to operation, IPX5 and IPX6 testing can easy conversion.
