100N 4.8mm Rod IEC60884-1 Plug Socket Tester Non Solid
IEC60884-1 figure 14 Non-Solid Pins Tester / Device for Testing Non-Solid Pins
1. Introduction
The non-solid pin tester is designed according to IEC60884-1 figure 14. It is applied to check the mechanical strength of non-solid pins of plugs and portable socket-outlets.
A force of 100N is exerted on the pin which is supported as shown in IEC60884-1 figure 14, for 1min in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the pin, by mean of a steel rod have a diameter of 4.8mm, the axis of which is also perpendicular to the axis of the pin. During the application of the force, the reduction of the dimension of the pin at the point where the force is applied shall not exceed 0.15mm. After removal of the rod, the dimensions of the pin shall not have changed by more than 0.06mm in any direction.
