IEC60065 Mandrel Test Device for Testing Non-Separable Thin Sheet Material
1. Application
For testing three-or more layers of non-separable thin-sheet material forming reinforced insulation.
2. Test method
a downward force of 150N±10N is applied to the free end of the sample, using a approriate clamping device. The mandrel is rotated by hank without jerks:
- from the initial position to the final position and back
- as above for the second time
- from the initial position to the final position
3. Introduction
Mandrel test device is designed according to IEC61588 figure 6, IEC60950 annex A, IEC60065 and GB1921. It is used for the insulating thin layer of the power transformer and supply unit as well as the similar products to do the spindle test, mechanical strength test and abrasion test.
This test device will have a mechanical limit in the position of 10o and 230o to make sure the accuracy of the testing angle. Thus, the operation method is simpler. The weights are with hook to prevent the sample from damage due to the large stress.
