Applicable Standards: IEC61386-1:2017clause 10.3

 

Specimens & Scope: Suitable for metal, non-metallic and composite conduits used to protect and manage insulated wires and/or cables for electrical or communication systems up to AC 1000 V and/or DC 1500 V.

 

Test Purpose: To evaluate the mechanical impact resistance of conduits after low-temperature conditioning.

 

Test Principle: The specimen is impacted by a falling hammer released freely from a specified height.

 

Structure & Features:

This device is used together with a low-temperature chamber.

The apparatus should be placed on a solid horizontal surface.

Before testing, the specimen shall be conditioned in a suitable low-temperature chamber, and the impact test shall be completed within 10 seconds after removal from the chamber.
