IEC 60884-1 Annex C Plug Gripping Test Apparatus

This device is used to verify the plug clamping test. It conforms to IEC 60884-1 Annex C alternative gripping tests figure C.2, the reference plug as per C.1 also included.

Technical parameters:

1. A reference plug required: the reference plug should be made according to IEC 60884-1 Annex C Figure C.1.Surface roughness 0.5 μm ~ 0.8μm.

2. Sample fixture:1 set
3. Test support: 1set;

4. Digital force gauge: 1 set, 0～200N, accuracy 0.5 level , it has a reliable connection method to be connected with reference plug and test plug.

Operation Steps:

1. Prepare the test plug, clamp the test plug with the sample fixture, the plug surface is flush with the plate’s bottom surface, the test plug pins go through the hole of the plate, the rod goes through all the holes of the plug pins,then hook the digital force gauge on the top ring, pull the force gauge and record the force value three times.

2. Clamp the reference plug with the sample fixture, the reference plug surface is flush with the plate’s bottom surface, then the rod goes through the hole of the reference plug, hook the digital force gauge on the top ring, pull the force gauge and record the force value three times.

3. Compare the force values of step 1 with the force values of step 2 as per IEC 60884-1 Annex C .
