Application:

This Fretting Wear Test Appaartus is used to evaluate the property of lubricating greases to protect oscillating bearings from fretting wear. This method, used for specification purposes, differentiates among greases allowing low, medium, and high amounts of fretting wear under the prescribed test conditions. The test has been used to predict the fretting performance of greases in wheel bearings of passenger cars shipped long distances.

Test method:it is operated with two ball thrust bearings,lubricated with the test grease,oscillated through an arc of 0.21 rad,at a frequency of 30.0Hz,under a load of 2450N,for 22 hours at room temperature.Freatting wear is determined by measuring the mass loss of the bearing races.

 

Features:
1.This fretting wear apparatus adopts two sets of standard thrust ball test bearings, with an inner diameter of 16mm ± 0.025mm and an outer diameter of 35.69 ± 0.025mm;
2.Control the motor with a frequency converter to improve control frequency accuracy and display the operating frequency digitally;
3.Oscillating bearing seat with fixing screws;
4.The fretting wear apparatus is provided with a set of standard fixtures;
5.Digital display time controller,beep prompt when test time is reached;
6.High precision spring guide cylinder, length 31.75mm ± 0.25mm, outer diameter 23.02mm ± 0.05mm, inner diameter 13.614mm ± 0.013mm;
