BN997 Boron Nitride Machinable Ceramic Tubes For Thermocouples
China Suppliers Customizable High Temperature Hot Press Boron Nitride Ceramic Tubes for Thermocouples
At ZG Ceramics, we create industrial ceramic products with many high quality ceramic materials. One of them is boron nitride. Typically, we use a type called hexagonal boron nitride. Hexagonal Boron Nitride is a heat and chemically resistant compound of Boron and Nitrogen. Along with graphitic boron nitride, it is the most stable crystalline form of boron nitride. Because it has a similar structure to graphite, and because it is white in color, you may also hear it called “white graphite.”
Some industries that typically benefit from hexagonal boron nitride ceramics include:
- Aerospace
- Metalforming
- Electronics
- Heating and Cooling
- Glass Fabrication
- Military and Defense
- Thermal Processing
- Power Generation and Electricity
- Mineral Processing
Boron nitride chemically inert, and possessed of low thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion and microwave transparency. It is also easily machined. In addition, it is non-wetting by glass, salts and most molten metals. This means that it cannot be wetted by any of these substances, and it is that much more resistant to chemical attacks.
Boron Nitride has unsurpassed thermal stability and is stable at temperatures up to 1000˚C in air, 1400˚ in vacuum, and 2800˚ C in an inert atmosphere. It is also self-lubricating, so it does not require the use of gas or water molecules trapped between its layers. Because of this, boron nitride ceramic parts can be used in a vacuum, which is essential for aerospace applications.
