316Ti Stainless Steel Coil Characteristic:
316Ti is a titanium stabilized Type 316 stainless. It is produced to ASTM A240 and DIN/EN No. 1.4571. Titanium is added to minimize corrosion over extended exposure to elevated temperatures ranging from 900 to 1500 degrees °F (425 to 815 °C). The alloy resists corrosion at higher temperatures because the addition of titanium stabilizes the structure against chromium precipitation.
Type 316Ti stainless steel coil is austenitic stainless steel has the addition of molybdenum that offers highly stabilized products. However, these coils have excellent corrosion resistance and toughness even at elevated cryogenic temperatures. To improve the hardness of UNS S31635 stainless steel coils are annealed at 1010-1020℃ and cool rapidly.
