Graphite electrode is mainly made of petroleum coke and needle coke as raw material, coal pitch as binding material, through calcination, batching, kneading, pressing, roasting, graphitization and machining to final product. It can be classified into ordinary power, high power and ultra-high power grade according to its quality index.
Nowadays, the smelting and process of electric arc furnaces have more and more strong requirements for the anti-oxidation performance and thermal shock resistance of graphite electrodes, and the excessive consumption due to quality fluctuations has attracted great attention from direct users. Therefore, the balance and stability of the graphite electrode quality are the most important factors that determine the consumption.
