Introduction
Petroleum coke is placed in a graphitization furnace and processed at a high temperature of about 3000 degrees. It turns out to be graphitized petroleum coke, normally abbreviated as GPC, which is featured with high fixed carbon content, low sulfur and low nitrogen. As a high-quality recarburizer or carbon raiser, it is widely used in the production of high-quality steel, cast iron and alloy materials

Graphitized Petroleum Coke is a good carbon raiser for metallurgical industry and foundry industry.
Through deep processing, it can be used to produce lithium-ion battery anode materials, stabilizer for military industrial material.
It can also be used as chemical reducing agents and refractory materials.
Graphitized Petroleum Coke VS. Calcined Petroleum Coke
1. The fixed carbon of the graphitized petroleum coke is usually around 98%, and up to 99%. It is around 98.5% for CPC.
2. As a carbon additive, GPC has a higher absorption rate 90% to 95%, CPC is only 80% to 90%.
3. Sulfur content of GPC is as low as about 0.05%, and CPC sulfur content is around 0.5%.
4. GPC has a higher purity than CPC, which can improve steel products properties much better.
