HP Electrode
Graphite electrode is an important high-temperature conductive material for steelmaking in electric furnace.
- Product Details
Graphite electrode is an important high-temperature conductive material for steelmaking in electric furnace. Through the graphite electrode, electric energy is input to the electric furnace. Graphite electrode is widely used in the smelting of various metals, but its deficiency lies in its poor oxidation resistance at high temperature. To enhance the oxidation resistance of graphite electrode, the method of graphite electrode impregnation is usually adopted
Steel is a big consumer in carbon industry, and graphite electrode has become the golden key for carbon industry to enter the steel field.
Graphitization refers to the high-temperature heat treatment in which carbon products are heated to more than 2300in the protective medium in a high-temperature electric furnace, so as to transform amorphous and disorderly layer structure carbon into three-dimensional ordered lithography structure. Graphite materials with high processing accuracy and good surface effect, especially in the precision, complex, thin wall, high hard material mold cavity processing has a greater advantage.
Compared with copper, graphite has advantages such as less consumption, faster discharge rate, lighter weight and smaller thermal expansion coefficient, so it gradually replaces copper electrode to become the mainstream of discharge processing materials.
