Arc furnace electrode refers to the graphite electrodes which are primarily used in electric arc furnaces for the steel-making process.

Arc Furnace Electrode

As we know, Electric arc furnace(abbreviated as EAF) is mainly used to make steel in the world. Graphite electrodes play an important role in the process. Large electrical currents go through the electrodes, the electric power causes electric arcs between the ends of the electrodes and scrap steel, the arc makes a high temperature of more than 3000°C. This heat melts the scrap steel into liquid steel. Graphite electrode is the only material to withstand such a high temperature and keep its strength and stability meanwhile.

Graphite Electrode Grade

We provide graphite electrodes in three different grades: UHP, HP and RP, and the diameter is ranging from min.150mm to max.700mm with the length from 1500mm to 270mm at your option.
