Three Tip Designs Puncture Kit Percutaneous Vertebroplasty Products
Percutaneous kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat vertebral compression fractures, which are often caused by osteoporosis or trauma. During the procedure, a small incision is made in the patient's back and a specialized instrument is inserted into the fractured vertebrae.
The kyphoplasty system typically includes a balloon catheter, bone cement, and other tools needed to perform the procedure. The balloon catheter is inflated inside the fractured vertebrae to restore its height and create a cavity for the bone cement. The cement is then injected into the cavity to stabilize the fracture and provide pain relief.
Percutaneous kyphoplasty is a safe and effective treatment option for vertebral compression fractures, with most patients experiencing significant pain relief and improved mobility shortly after the procedure. It is often performed on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return to their normal
activities relatively quickly. Discuss with your doctor if percutaneous kyphoplasty is an appropriate treatment option for you.
