HRSG Replacement Components Harps ASME SA213 T22 Serrated Fin Tube
Our Serrated Fin Tubes are engineered for high-temperature and high-pressure heat transfer applications, specifically optimized for use in Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), waste heat boilers, fired heaters, and petrochemical process equipment. The finned construction maximizes surface area exposure for enhanced heat transfer efficiency, while the serrated fin configuration significantly improves turbulence and reduces fouling.
These tubes are manufactured with a base tube material of ASME SA213 T22—a high-strength Cr-Mo alloy steel—combined with high-quality carbon steel serrated fins, delivering superior mechanical stability and heat transfer performance under demanding operating conditions.
- Material Type: Seamless ferritic alloy steel (2.25% Cr, 1% Mo)
- Standards: ASTM / ASME SA213
- Key Properties:
- Excellent high-temperature strength
- Superior resistance to oxidation and creep
- High structural stability under pressure
- Ideal for HRSG and boiler service temperatures up to ~600°C
- Type: Low-carbon or medium-carbon steel depending on application
- Advantages:
- High thermal conductivity
- Good weldability
- Cost-effective material with strong mechanical properties
Serrated fins (also called segmented fins) are designed to break the boundary layer, creating enhanced turbulence and improving overall heat transfer efficiency.
- Fin Type: Serrated / Segmented
- Fin Height: Typically 10–16 mm (customizable)
- Fin Thickness: Typically 0.8–1.5 mm
- Fin Density: Commonly 8–10 FPI (fins per inch), customizable
- Fin Attachment: High-frequency resistance welding (HFRW)
- Fin Orientation: Longitudinal serrations for optimized turbulence generation
- Increased heat transfer coefficient
- Improved gas turbulence
- Reduced fouling and ash deposition
- Enhanced efficiency in HRSG convection sections
- Better performance in dirty gas streams compared to solid fins
- Outer Diameter: 25.4 mm (1"), 38.1 mm (1.5"), 50.8 mm (2”), or custom sizes
- Wall Thickness: From 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm depending on pressure and design code
- Tube Length: Up to 18–20 meters (based on production capability and transport limits)
- Straight or U-bend configurations available
- High-Frequency Resistance Welding (HFRW) ensures:
- Full metallurgical bond between fin and tube
- Excellent thermal conductivity
- High mechanical strength
- Long service life under thermal cycling
