The Standard Tests for ASTM A192 Tubes
| Test Type | Standard Requirement |
| Flattening Test | The specimen shall be flattened without cracking until the distance between the plates is three-fourths of the outside diameter of the tube. |
| Flaring Test | The specimen shall be flared without cracking until the outside diameter has increased by 20%. |
| Hardness Test | The Brinell or Rockwell hardness test shall be made on two tubes from each lot. |
| Hydrostatic Test | Each tube shall be subjected to the hydrostatic test (or NDT as specified). |
