IV. Comparison: TP304H vs TP304 Stainless Steel
● HighTemperature Performance:
TP304H is optimized for sustained hightemperature operation with better creep strength and oxidation resistance.
TP304 is suitable for general corrosion resistance but may lose strength faster at temperatures above 500°C.
● Chemical Composition:
TP304H has controlled carbon content (0.04–0.10%) for hightemperature stability;
TP304 has lower carbon (≤0.08%) for general purpose use. Both contain Cr (~18–20%) and Ni (~8–11%).
● Applications:
TP304H: Boiler tubes, superheaters, heat exchangers in power plants, refinery heaters, hightemperature process piping.

TP304H is typically more expensive due to its specialized hightemperature properties and controlled manufacturing;
