Thermoplastic Methacrylic Resin For Heat Sealing Applications
SA-324 is a thermoplastic methacrylic resin (a bead polymer based on n-butyl methacrylate) manufactured by WangQin Chemical. A major application is in the food and pharmaceutical packaging industry for creating heat-seal lacquers used to seal aluminum foils against PVC and polystyrene. SA-324 Provides good adhesion to diverse substrates, including various plastics (PVC, PS, PC, PMMA, ABS), paper, textiles, and metals. Heat-sealable coatings made with SA-324 provide excellent sealing performance for aluminum foil or film structures and allow for easy tearing. It is also widely used in flexible leather treatment agents, ceramic transfer coatings, cardboard inks, and other applications requiring high adhesion, flexibility, chemical resistance, and durability.
SA-324 is easily soluble in ketones, esters, aromatics and other organic solvents.
