Micronized PTFE Wax For Paints And Coatings Similar To Ceridust 9205F
WQ-P1401 is a micronized PTFE wax similar to Ceridust 9205F. It’s a specialty lubricant and anti-blocking additive used in coatings and inks formulations.
WQ-P1401 possesses characteristics such as high lubricity, heat resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance, and does not affect gloss. It allows coatings and inks to achieve optimal surface lubrication and anti-adhesion properties. It can increase the scratch resistance and slipperiness of the coating film. It offers excellent transparency and a smooth feel. Optimal results are achieved with an addition of only 0.6% to 2% of the total amount.
Due to these unique characteristics, it is particularly recommended for use in furniture paints, decorative paints, baking paints, automotive paints, plastic paints, and wood coatings. It can also be used in general industrial coatings and powder coatings to improve wear resistance.
| Characteristics | Target value |
|---|---|
| Appearance | White Micro Powder |
| Melting Point | 320±5℃ |
| Particle size D50 | 3-5µm |
| Material | PTFE |
- Industrial coatings — improves application performance and finish.
- Printing inks — provides controlled surface slip and reduced blocking
- Powder coatings — helps with flow and surface quality.
- Lubricating agent — reduces friction in coatings and inks.
- Anti-blocking agent — prevents layers of film/ink from sticking together during storage or processing.
- Slip agent — improves surface slip properties (helps ink/print materials glide more easily).
For the paint and coatings industry, the recommended dosage is 0.1-2.0% of the total amount, added at the beginning of the production process, requiring high-speed stirring to achieve optimal dispersion.
