(Basic Properties)
Cemedine 1565 is a two-component transparent epoxy adhesive, comprising a base resin (AP-058/059) and two hardeners (standard 1565 hardener AP-056; optional hardener D AP-155/156). Solvent-free formulation with density 1.15 g/cm³ (base), viscosity 1.5 Pa·s (23°C). Mixed adhesive appears as pale yellow transparent liquid with refractive index 1.57. Supports room-temperature curing (standard hardener) or heat curing (hardener D).

Designed for optical clarity, 1565 utilizes chemical cross-linking for permanent structural bonds. Standard mix ratio (base:hardener=1:1 wt) offers 30-minute pot life at 23°C and full cure in 7 days. With hardener D (100:15 wt ratio), pot life extends to 3 hours requiring 60°C×2hr heat cure. Cured film delivers high light transmission (<0.1% absorption @500nm) and UV resistance.

- Mechanical: Bond strength up to 20.7 MPa (SUS304 steel), 17.3 MPa (brass), 5.4 MPa (rigid PVC, substrate failure);
- Environmental: Stable at -55°C, service temp ≤80°C (hardener D enhances to 120℃ short-term);
- Chemical: 1.28% weight gain after 7-day water immersion, resistant to 30% NaOH/30% H₂SO₄;
- Safety: SPI toxicity Class 2 (standard hardener), avoid skin contact.
