Product Properties
Molykote® HP-500 is a fully fluorinated grease based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oil thickened with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It exhibits high-temperature stability (-20°C to 200°C), ultra-low vapor pressure, and exceptional chemical inertness. Classified as NLGI Grade 2, it appears as a white paste.

Its PFPE+PTFE formulation generates minimal vaporization and demonstrates broad compatibility with plastics, effectively reducing wear in plastic-on-plastic applications.
Enhanced Properties
Enhanced fluorinated properties include:
- Non-toxic below 250°C (ventilation required above 250°C);
- Minimal oxidative degradation for extended service life;
- Ultra-low vapor pressure (1.33×10⁻⁶ Pa at 20°C) for high-vacuum compatibility;
- MIL-S-8660 certified: ≤1% evaporation (200°C/24h), 0.8% after 1000h.
