Shin-Etsu KE-3450 is a single-component, room-temperature-curing, thixotropic silicone adhesive/sealant with UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant certification. It cures into a tough and durable elastomer, suitable for bonding and sealing various substrates.

Shin-Etsu KE-3450 is a low-odor, neutral-cure, non-corrosive product that exhibits excellent unprimed adhesion to metals, plastics, glass, and ceramics. The cured elastomer offers good mechanical properties and electrical insulation, making it suitable for sealing and bonding applications in electronics and industrial fields.
Part 3: Special Properties
KE-3450 features excellent thixotropic properties, allowing application on vertical surfaces without sagging. It has a fast snap time (~4 minutes), high elongation (390%), and good shear strength (1.6 MPa). Additionally, it offers excellent dielectric properties and thermal resistance, making it suitable for demanding applications such as electronic encapsulation.

KE-3450 is widely used for sealing electronic components, form-in-place gasketing (FIPG), and industrial equipment bonding.
