SYLGARD™ 170 is a two-part, 1:1 mix ratio black silicone elastomer featuring low mixed viscosity (2135 cP), moderate thermal conductivity (0.48 W/mK), and rapid curing at room temperature or with heat acceleration. It is UL 94 V-0 flame-rated and EN45545-2 HL3 certified for railway applications, ideal for electronic potting and encapsulation.

Supplied as a two-part liquid, it cures into a flexible elastomer for PCB and electronic assembly protection. Curing is non-exothermic and independent of sectional thickness, requiring no post-cure. It enhances flow in narrow spaces and complex geometries, provides stress relief during thermal cycling, and prevents damage from rigid encapsulants. Adhesion requires a primer (standard version.
