Araldite® 2033 is a room-temperature curing, two-component flame-retardant epoxy adhesive. Certified for demanding applications in electronics and railways (e.g., EN 45545-2:2013 HL3 rating), it offers balanced tensile properties (medium modulus, high elongation at break) for structural bonding. Requires dedicated dispensing guns; mix ratio 100:88 by weight (resin:hardener); cures to black high-strength bond.

This structural adhesive features self-extinguishing properties and is certified UL 94 V-0, indicating a high flame retardancy level. Tested according to EN 45545-2:2013 with an HL3 rating, it meets railway application requirements R22 and R23.

• Lap shear strength exceeds 12 MPa at 23°C
• Elongation at break of 39% and tensile modulus of 576 MPa
• Shear modulus varies with temperature: 2.52 GPa at -40°C, 2.05 GPa at 0°C, 205 MPa at 60°C, and 36 MPa at 100°C
• Glass transition temperature of 69°C (via DMA testing)
• After thermal cycling (100 cycles from -30°C to 70°C), lap shear strength remains at 18.8 MPa
