Product Properties
MOLYKOTE BR-2 Plus is a high-performance grease based on mineral oil, thickened with lithium soap, and fortified with molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), other solid lubricants, and extreme pressure (EP) additives. It features high load-carrying capacity, excellent wear protection, and emergency running properties, designed for long-term lubrication of metal-to-metal combinations experiencing moderate to high speeds and loads. Its NLGI consistency grade is 2.

Formulated with mineral base oil, lithium soap thickener, solid lubricants, and EP additives, this grease is engineered for metal-to-metal combinations under medium to high loads across slow to fast movements. It offers high load-carrying capacity, excellent oxidation stability, and emergency running properties, suitable for central lubrication systems.
Enhanced Properties
- EP & Anti-wear: 3,600 N weld load (Four-ball tester, DIN 51 350-4), 15,500 N OK load (Almen-Wieland) for fretting/scuffing protection.
- Long-term Performance: 195-hour service life (FAG FE9 test, 140°C), 0.1 bar pressure drop (Oxidation test, 99°C/100h).
- Environmental Resistance: Low water washout (DIN 51 809), 0 corrosion rating (SKF Emcor), cold start torque at -20°C: 0.151 N·m.
