Product Overview
Dowsil™ Primer-C primer is engineered to significantly enhance the adhesion of various sealants (including DOWSIL™ 983, 993, and 993N Structural Glazing Sealants) to polyvinylidene fluoride (PVF2)- or Kynar-based paints. It promotes faster adhesion development in low-temperature and low-humidity conditions, ensuring application efficiency and reliability.

Application Guidelines
Dowsil™ Primer-C is primarily used in curtain wall applications for treating aluminum panels or profiles with PVDF or Kynar-based paints to ensure long-term durable adhesion of structural glazing sealants. It is also suitable for promoting sealant adhesion to polyester powder paints used in sealing joints of other architectural metal panels.
Important Safety Notes
This primer is extremely flammable and requires strict adherence to safety handling precautions. Do not use on expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation boards as it can dissolve them and compromise substrate integrity.
