ThreeBond 1211 Automotive & Industrial Flange Sealing RTV Silicone Liquid Gasket

ThreeBond 1211 is a one-component, solvent-free, oxime-type Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) silicone liquid gasket. It is white in color with a viscosity of 70 Pa.s, a specific gravity of 1.01, and a tack-free time of approximately 40 minutes, curing via moisture in the air.

ThreeBond 1211 is designed to form a rubber-like elastic body after assembly, providing excellent sealing performance. It effectively resists vibration, shock, and high-temperature environments, offering excellent resistance to heat, automotive oils, and fluids, making it ideal for sealing joints subjected to high temperatures.

This product features a wide service temperature range of -60°C to +200°C (+250°C short term). After curing, it achieves a hardness of 26 Shore A, tensile strength of 2.5 MPa, elongation of 300%, and shear strength (Aluminum) of 1.4 MPa. Furthermore, it offers good chemical stability (resistance to lube oil, gasoline, water) and electrical insulation properties (volume resistivity 5x10¹² Ω·m, dielectric strength 20 MV/m).

According to publicly available information on the same model, ThreeBond 1211 is widely used in engine-related sealing for automotive, motorcycle, watercraft, snowmobile, and ATV applications. Typical uses include sealing engine cases, flange surfaces, exhaust flanges, intake manifolds, valve covers, crankcases, timing covers, transmission housings, water pumps, and oil pans. It can also be used as a gasket dressing or with solid gaskets to prevent leaks of oil, water, gasoline, and chemicals .
