The test consists of several cycles, and each washing cycle includes the following steps:
Pre-wash: Fill the dry dishwasher with water; wash for 5 min ± 0.5 min; then drain the water from the dishwasher.
Detergent wash: Fill the dishwasher with water; add detergent, 24 g ± 3 g of detergent per 6.0 L ± 0.5 L of water; heat the temperature to 60 °C ± 2 °C when the test for this step reaches 20 min ± 1 min; stop heating and continue washing for another 10 min ± 1 min; then drain the water from the dishwasher.
Intermediate rinse: Fill the dishwasher with water; wash for 3 min ± 0.5 min; then drain the water from the dishwasher.
Rinse aid rinse: Fill the dishwasher with water; start the washing test and heat to 65 °C ± 2 °C; add rinse aid when the temperature reaches 40 °C to 45 °C, 2.5 g to 3.0 g of rinse aid per 6.0 L ± 0.5 L of water; drain the water from the dishwasher when the temperature reaches 65 °C ± 2 °C.
Drying: Close the dishwasher door for 10 min ± 1 min, then open the door for 30 min ± 1 min.
- Check the relevant parameters after every 50 test cycles. The parameters to be checked are as follows:
- Whether the heating temperature can be controlled at 60 °C±2°C and 65°C±2°C;
- The softening function of the water softener (cation exchanger);
- The automatic addition function of detergent and rinse aid, ensuring the accurate weight of reagents is added;
- If there are deposits on the test samples or the inner surface of the test dishwasher, remove the samples from the dishwasher,
- and clean the dishwasher with 10% citric acid instead of detergent. Soak the removed samples in approximately 50°C 10% citric acid solution for 10 minutes.
- Then place them back into the dishwasher after deposit cleaning and continue the test.
