Process Introduction
Heavier basis weight requires longer fiber retention and higher refining energy. Kraft pulping of southern pine (2‑3mm fibers) at 170°C. Washing and screening remove knots. Beating degree 30‑35°SR for enhanced bonding. The paper is double‑pressed to 40‑45% dryness, then multi‑cylinder dried at 105‑115°C. PAE wet strength agent is added to maintain wet tensile above 1.2 kN/m. The pink pigment is added during pulping. No wax or plastic coating – breathability preserved.
