Process Introduction
70g glassine undergoes extended supercalendering to maintain density and smoothness at higher basis weight. The fiber furnish uses premium bleached softwood kraft pulp. Multi-stage pressing ensures uniform caliper. PVA surface sizing (4-6% concentration) is applied on both sides. After supercalendering, the paper is moisture-balanced for 48 hours to prevent edge curl. Optional anti-static treatment (surface resistance 10⁸-10¹¹Ω) is available.
