80g Glassine Paper Maximum Density for Heavy Release and Industrial Packaging
As the highest standard basis weight in common production (up to 90g per GB/T 29282-2024), 80 g/㎡ glassine paper achieves density ≥1.10 g/cm³ and smoothness ≥1000s. It is engineered for heavy-release applications: industrial adhesive liners, foam tape carriers, and moisture-proof packaging. Thickness 0.09-0.10 mm provides excellent stiffness for automated dispensing.

Process Introduction
80g glassine requires specialized supercalendering with multiple nips to achieve high density without losing formation. The base paper is made from 100% long-fiber softwood pulp with intensive beating (30°SR). PVA surface sizing is applied at higher coating weight to seal the surface. Supercalender linear pressure reaches 500 kN/m at 120°C. The finished paper has a glass-like finish on both sides, with oil absorption ≤1.1 g/m².
