Automatic Aluminum Chip Collection System for Billet Sawing

The automatic aluminum chip collection system is an integrated section of the aluminum billet sawing line. It is designed to collect aluminum chips generated during long-bar sawing and transfer them into a designated collection container.

The system is installed together with the long-bar gang saw, discharge equipment, hydraulic system, and electrical control system. It forms part of the overall material-handling configuration rather than functioning as a standalone aluminum scrap processing machine.

During the sawing process, aluminum chips are collected through a dedicated chip collection structure. According to the equipment specification, the chips are transported by a fan into a collection container.

The documented chip collection support measures 1260 * 1260 * 4000 mm and is designed as a sealed structure. The specified chip block size is 350 * 350 mm. The system uses a 4-4 kW fan configuration according to the source document.

The collection arrangement provides a defined route for chips generated during aluminum bar sawing, from the cutting area to the collection container.

The production line also separates different cutting residues. Cut heads and tails fall into a dedicated collection bin, while aluminum chips are handled through the fan-based chip collection system. This allows the documented material streams to be collected through separate structures.

The complete equipment is designed for aluminum alloy bars with diameters from Ø80 to Ø254 mm. The main sawing motor is 45 kW, and the total line power is 90 kW. The main saw uses a Ø900 mm alloy blade, with a specified blade speed of 1400 rpm.

The production sequence includes long-bar alignment, multi-bar loading, feeding, head cutting, sizing, discharge, and material collection. PLC control, HMI input, fault alarms, and automatic interlock protection are included in the electrical control configuration.
