SKD11 is a high-carbon high-chromium alloy tool steel, high hardness after heat treatment, with strong hardenability, good dimensional stability characteristics, suitable for the production of high-precision long life cold mold and thermosetting plastic mold.

Heat treatment
Quenching: first preheat 700 ~ 750 ℃, and then heated to 1000 ~ 1050 ℃ cooling in still air, such as the thickness of the steel over 6 inches were heated to 980 ~ 1030 ℃ hardened in the oil better.
Tempering: heated to 150 ~ 200 ℃, stay in this temperature, and then cooled in still air. Hardness: HRC 61 or more.
Annealing: heated to 800 ~ 850 ℃, stay at this temperature for 1 to 3 hours, let it in the furnace to let it cool. Forging: 900 ~ 1050 ℃.
