Introduction:
Grade 1.7035 / 40Cr steel is one of the most widely used steel in the machinery industry.
It has good comprehensive mechanical properties, good low temperature impact toughness and low notch sensitivity.
This type of steel is suitable for cyanide and high frequency quenching.The cutting performance is better, when the hardness is 174~ 229HB, the relative cutting machinability is 60%.The steel is suitable for making medium plastic mold.

Features:
40Cr (SAE5140) steel is belong to Medium carbon steel with hardening and tempering, cold heading steel. Easy processing, after proper heat treament can obtain a certain toughness, plasticity and abrasion resistance.

Characteristic:
Grade 1.7035 is kind of medium carbon steel, cold heading die steel.The steel price is moderate and easy to process, and it can obtain certain toughness, plasticity and wear resistance after proper heat treatment.
The positive fire can promote the spheroidization and improve the cutting performance of the hardness less than 160HBS.
In the tempering temperature 550 ~ 570 ℃, the steel has the best comprehensive mechanical properties.The hardness of steel is higher than 45 steel, suitable for high frequency quenching, flame quenching and other surface hardening treatment.
Applications:
After hardneing & tempering, applied to use in the manufacture withstand load and moderate speeds mechancial parts, such as automotive steering knuchles, and rear axle gears, shafts, worm, spline shaft, sets and other tools on top.
Delivery condition:
Hot rolled or forged, black surface.
Hardenss: annealed <207HB.
40Cr shaft parts:
