Grade 1.7225 / SAE4140 / SCM440 / 42CrMo steel belongs to the ultra-high strength steel, high strength and toughness, hardenability is better also, no obvious temper brittleness, conditioning treatment after repeated impact resistance, high fatigue limit and good low-temperature impact toughness.
Grade 1.7225 / SAE4140 / SCM440 / 42CrMo steel is suitable for large and medium sized plastic mold that requires certain strength and toughness.

Application:
Used in the manufacture of high strength, large cross-section forgings such as supercharger transmission gear,rear axle,hummar shank etc.
42CrMo has the characteristic of high strength, hardenability, good toughness, low deformation in quenching, high creep strength and endurance.
It can used in the manufacture requirements higher than 35Crmo steel strength and conditioning section more large forgings, such as locomotive traction with the big gear, supercharger drive gear, pressure vessel, rear axle, gear load connecting rod and a spring clip, can also be used to under 2000 m deep well of oil drill pipe joint and the fishing tool, and can be used for bending machine mould, etc.
