DIN 1.2083/420/S136 tool steel plate & sheet for plastic die
S136--Martensitic stainless chromium steel for plastic moulds.It can be produced on request by the process ESR and quenched and tempered condition.
DIN 1.2083 steel is chromium alloyed stainless plastic mold steel. It is equivalent to AISI 420 steel. The steel 1.2083 is a major steels for hot pressing in circulation.
1.2083 stainless steel is generally supplied annealed condition with a hardness < 235HB. It can also be delivered ESR and quenched and tempered to 320 HB.

Main characteristics of DIN 1.2083 are :
– a good atmospheric corrosion resistance,
– an excellent polishability,
– a good machinability in annealed condition,
– a high hardenability
– a good wear resistance
Application:
1. Transparent plastic mould
2. Highly stressed cutting and punching tools for thin sheets
3. Stone processing tools and knives for paper and plastics,shear knives
4. Requiring higher food industrial equipment parts and PVC / PP / EP
Heat Treatment:
