Description
Coupling is a kind of common fittings in industrial pipe connection. A short piece of pipe used to connect two pipes. It is also called external joint and direct head. Because of its convenient use, Coupling is widely used in civil construction, industry, agriculture and other fields. According to the material classification, the hoops are: carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, PVC, plastic, etc. The connection methods are: threaded connection, welding, fusion, socket, etc. According to its manufacturing process, it can be divided into forging and casting. Forging is formed by heating and forging with ingot or round bar and machining thread with upper bed. Casting refers to melting the ingot and pouring it into a fixed hoop model, then cooling it. The main manufacturing standards of hoops are generally GB / t14383 and ASME B16.
Coupling is also called direct head, which is used for straight pipe connection; movable joint is a detachable pipe fitting. Something connected by movable joint can be removed and replaced, such as valve side, radiator side, etc.The direct head is the pipe fitting in the pipeline. If the pipeline exceeds the length of a single pipe, the direct head shall be used. In order to overhaul and disassemble the valve, a movable joint shall be used. The direct head is purely to extend the length of the pipeline without turning; the movable joint can sometimes be used as the direct head. The movable joint is set for the convenience of maintenance and installation, so a certain number of movable joints will be used in certain positions such as valves, instrument equipment and other places according to the pipeline conditions.
